Motorcycle hire and guiding
There are endless trails in Southern Catalonia, and they start right outside our property. The roads are pretty impressive as well.
The bikes
The four Honda CRF250L machines suit novices and experts alike. They handle all the local terrain, are a pleasure to ride, and work well on tarmac too. We have a lowered seat that can be fitted to one of them.
A tankful of fuel will cover a day’s trail riding and costs around €7. The maximum group size is normally four riders plus a guide.
How we ride
Our aim is to show visitors the local countryside, the mountains and even the Med. We are not an enduro or motocross outfit.
Riding on the trails carries the same legal requirements as riding on the road: speed limits of 30kph unless indicated, the relevant licence, insurance, a legal motorcycle and anything else that would apply on tarmac.
A typical day
The start time suits you — you are on holiday, after all. We ride with plenty of stops to look at local points of interest and take photographs. For lunch we can take a picnic or stop at a local restaurant.
Every day is arranged around our guests’ requirements and experience. There is no set agenda, and we are happy to move days around to suit you.
Hire terms
Motorcycles can be hired for events and trips across Catalonia and Aragon. We offer guided day trips from the casita with both road and off-road options. If you would rather ride your own motorcycle, that is absolutely fine — we simply charge a guiding fee.
We keep a range of kit here for hirers. Rental includes third-party road insurance. Damage to the motorcycle is payable by the hirer, though this does not apply to minor scrapes or punctures. A deposit may be required from riders who are not staying as guests.
Common questions
Do I need off-road experience?
No. The Honda CRF250Ls suit complete novices, and every day is built around your experience. Most of our customers had never left the tarmac before riding with us.
What licence do I need?
An A or A2 motorcycle licence, and riders must be over 25.
Can you lower the bikes?
Yes. We can lower one motorcycle by 70mm using a Kouba link and scooped seat, or two motorcycles by 25–45mm.
Can I ride my own motorcycle?
Absolutely. We simply charge a guiding fee, which starts from €100 a day.
How big are the groups?
Normally a maximum of four riders plus a guide.
What happens in July and August?
It gets too hot for trail riding, so we vary the routes with more tarmac options, or run early-morning mountain road tours instead.
